LULAC 11041 Elects marilyn nevy cruz

On February 14, LULAC 11041 members elected Marilyn Nevy Cruz as president. Marilyn steps into the presidency of the historic Council 11041 with a formidable background in justice. A Los Angeles native, Marilyn serves as a Capital Trial Investigator for the Federal Death Penalty Unit. Her academic journey is equally impressive; she holds a BA and MA in Political Science and is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Administration and Public Affairs. Marilyn is focused on "growth, leadership, and impact." Her administration aims to bridge the council’s rich history with modern innovation by:

  • Developing SOPs to preserve council legacy.
  • Investing in youth via scholarships and new "Deputy" leadership roles.
  • Launching a three-year strategic planning process to ensure long-term unity and visibility.

"Together, we rise as one LULAC family. Proud of who we are, where we come from, and the futures we are building,” Marilyn said. “We are here to break barriers, create change, and remind our youth that the sky isn’t the limit… it’s just the starting point.”

Marilyn will serve alongside Vice President Maria Mercedes Olivieri, Secretary Chelsea Uzarowski, Treasurer Chuck Hurley, Parliamentarian Vanessa Vergara, Sergeant At Arms Alex Rodriguez and Chaplain Bettie Baca. To contact Marilyn, you may reach her at mncruz10@gmail.com.
