On February 11, members of LULAC Lambda elected Deshawn Cook as president. Hailing from Brooklyn, Deshawn brings a deep academic and professional background in DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) to LULAC Lambda. With a doctorate in Fine Arts and a Master of Science in Jurisprudence and Health Law, Deshawn is uniquely positioned to lead a council that sits at the intersection of Latine and Queer identities. Deshawn’s primary mission is to expand the reach of LULAC Lambda by:
